• Her obituary was published in the Unknown newspaper on 22 September 1937 in , Trempealeau County, WI.

8 Funeral services for Mrs. William Keefe were conducted Monday at 9 a.m. at St. Bartholomew's church, the Rev. T. J. Murphy officiating. Mrs. Lloyd Cowan played the funeral mass and Ralph Malchaski and Arthur Cisewski were servers. The pallbearers were Edward and De Vere Huttenhow, Bud Cisewski, Vince Jessessky, Thomas Mikrut and Edmund Frasch. Those from a distance here before and during the services were Mr. and Mrs. Cal Keefe and daughter, Mary Rose, West Salem; Christine Johnson, Moses and Emma Johnson and Mrs. Thomas Wilson, La Moille; Mr. and Mrs. Hurrel Wardwell, Mrs. Gerald Graff, Mrs. Joseph Hammernick, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Jacobson and Miss Irene Wardwell, Winona; Mr. and Mrs. Greeno, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Rotering, Waumandee, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Webber, La Crosse, Wis. Mrs. Keefe served as president of the Altar society for many years and was a charter member of the R. N. A. She was buried beside her infant son in St. Batholomew's' Catholic cemetery.
