William Crivits, 89, rural Ettrick, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 23, 1972, at St. Francis Hospital in La Crosse following an extended illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 27, 1972 at 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, rural Ettrick. The Rev. Herman Madland officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.

Crivits was born to William and Amelia Crivits on April 23, 1883 in the Village of Trempealeau. He married Ella Sekse on Nov. 24, 1910 at Winona, Minn., and they farmed in the rural Ettrick area. Mrs. Crivits died on Oct. 5, 1959.

Survivors are three sons, Goethal and Stewart of Ettrick and Willard of Blair; three daughters, Mrs. Maynard (Lucille) Thompson, Osseo, Mrs. Charlene Greenwold, Albany, Ore., and Mrs. Gordon (Corrine) Hoff, Strum; one sisters, Mrs. Eva Stephan, Trempealeau; 24 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Jack Funeral Home in Blair had charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Robert Hoff, Harold and Kenneth Crivits, James Hass, Calvin Anderson and Kenneth Bakken.
