Before moving to Findlay, Henry lived in Wabash and Kosciusko County, Indiana. Henry and his father, Daniel, are listed on the tax roles in 1851 in Kosciusko County, Indiana. Because of Henry's health and possible financial situation at home, he was admitted on 2 December 1893 to the County Home Farm in Warsaw, Indiana.
After the death of Margaret, any real estate the family owned had to be sold to pay her debts.
