Charles Abbie Kamper Jr.

They had one child, my Dad, and I have been surprised to find out that his original name was Charles Abbie Kamper JR, but apparently, at some period before dad was 9 years old, his name was changed to John Ermentrout Kamper, which was the only name I knew him by. He never discussed Grandaddy Kamper's background or where he came from or the fact that his name had been changed when he was young. I know it was still Chas. Abbie when he was 2 yrs old, but it had been changed by the time he was 9 - and I presume by my Grandmother.

I have business card of his stating that he was a Broker/Distributor of "Chinese Maid" Food Products which had an address of 1126 Grant Street, Evanston, Ill.
