About 1928, all of the family members except for the father, Frank, moved to San Bernardino County, California. For the 1930 US Census, the mother, Mary, and the son Vernon were both living at the home of her married son, Donald, and his family. Meanwhile, the father Frank, has not yet been found in the 1930 US Census but is found in the 1935 South Dakota State Census. He apparently eventually made his way to San Bernardino County, California where he died in 1955 and is buried at Bellevue Memorial Park with his wife.
