• His obituary was published in the Macomb Daily Journal on 24 July 1976 in Macomb, IL. William N. Morrison, 51, Ipava, died at 7:45PM Friday of an apparent heart attack at Lake Wildwood Haven, near Bushnell.
Funeral services 2:00 PM Monday, Ipava United Presbyterian Church. Rev. James W. McMillan officiating. Burial will be at Bushnell Cemetery. Friends may call at the Shawgo Memorial Home Sunday afternoon and evening. A memorial has been established with the heart fund.
Born May 21, 1929, at Robinson, North Dakota, he was the son of William and Effie Schilling Morrison. He married Verna DeRenzy May 30, 1948, at Bushnell. He was a member of Ipava United Presbyterian Church, Ipava Masonic Lodge, American Legion Post 17, Peoria Scottish Rite and the United Mine Workers of America. He was a WW II veteran, having served in the navy and was employed at Freeman United Coal Mining Co. at Canton.
Surviving are the widow; two sons, Eldon and Bill Morrison, both at home; one daughter, Mrs. Sandra Rittenhouse of Lewistown; three brothers, Raymond Morrison, Macomb; Vernon Morrison, Lewistown; and Wesley Morrison, Tacoma, Wash.; five sisters, Mrs. Ruth Walters, San Jose, California; Mrs. Mildred Darst, Smithfield; Mrs. Delores Speed, Covina, California; Mrs. Delores Wheeler, Bushnell; and Mrs. Beatrice Hopton, Tacoma, Wash.
He was preceded in death by one son and two brothers.
