3 Lora G. Shafer, 66, died Tuesday at the Frederick Nursing Home. Born in Middletown Valley, she was the daughter of the late Carlton D. and Florence S. Boyer Beachley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin P. Shafer Sr.
She was a member of Pleasant View Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Patsy main, Mrs. Doris Bidle and Mrs. Sharon Coblentz, all of Middletown; two sons, Calvin P. Shafer, Jr. and Merhle D. Shafer, both of Middletown; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Reeder of Adamstown, Mrs. Marie Gibbons of Knoxville and Mrs. Evelyn Younkins of Marriottsville; one brother, Raymond Beachley of Frederick; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held from the Gladhill Funeral Home Friday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. H. Boston Cooper will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
