His actual birth date seems to be a little bit obscure. Most of his census enumerations show an age that would be consistent with a birth date in August 1864 which is the year that appears on his gravestone. His death certificate indicates a birth date of 19 Aug 1863. The local newspaper obituary gives a birth date of 19 Aug 1863.

⁸ Andrew Jess See, 84, died Saturday evening at his home, Route 4, Charlotte. He was born in New York state, Aug. 19, 1863, the son of Abraham and Clara See and had resided here 81 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ella See and a daughter, Mrs. Ivan Parker, of Charlotte. Services will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Cheney funeral home. The Rev. E. G. Leisman will officiate and burial will be made in Center Eaton cemetery.
