Oswald Dubs arrived in Philadelphia on the ship Anderson on Aug 21, 1750, and married Maria Salome about 1751.
He first settled in the area between Smith Station and Hanover, but found it too dry, and moved three miles out to what is now Marburg.
He was a farmer in Manheim Township, and built and operated a saw mill there.
Oswald died in Manheim Township in Aug., 1766.
