Evalyn M. Shackelford, 74, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, passed from this world in to Heaven on Feb 26, 2004. Born May 5, 1929, in Bristow, Oklahoma to the Rev. George W. and Hazel Cunningham Alsup.

She grew up in Sapulpa and graduated from Sapulpa High School; she married Argil C. Shackelford in 1947; a devoted wife of 56 years; she is survived by her loving husband. Together, they raised three children; Ronald Shackelford, of Greenville, TX, Linda Harness, of Baxter Springs, Kansas, and Kennon Shackelford, of Flower Mound, TX; grandchildren Shelley Harness Allen, of Gibsonia, PA; Bradley Harness, of Oklahoma City; Justin Shackelford and Katherine Shackelford, of Rowlett, Texas; great grandsons, Ryan and Kyle Allen, of Gibsonia, PA; one brother, the Reverend Bob Alsup, of Broken Arrow, and one sister, Joyce Witcher, of Oklahoma City, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive guests at the home at 1101 Luker Lane. Funeral ser vices for Mrs. Shackelford have been set for 2 PM Monday, March 1, 2004, in the South Heights Assembly of God Church with Revs Bob Warman and Charles Harness officiating. Interment will follow in the Green Hill Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home. Serving as casket bearers will be Bradley Harness, Justin Shackelford, Cullen Allen, Randy Alsup, Rob Alsup, and Ely Griffits. Honorary bearers will be Ted Reid, David Griffin, Tommy Lawson, Bill Carnahan, Eugene Robertson, and Denn is Roling. Music will be provided by Joseph Bitsoi and Wesley Green. The family wishes to express their thanks to the many staff and doctors at St Francis Oncology for the loving care they provided on our time of need.
