FTM CD#2: This marriage index shows two entries for the marriage record. One is dated October 26, 1854 and shows her name as "Sarah Frances Rhodes". The second record is dated December 1, 1854 and shows her name as "Sarah F. Rhodes". I can think of no reason for this double entry other than the possible fact that they took out a marriage license in October but never got around to performing the ceremony with the allotted term of the license. Perhaps the license was only good for 30 days or something similar. Once the license had expired, they took out a second license in December.
