It indicates 1896 but the records from the "Wisconsin Births and Christenings, 1826-1926," database at FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XRN9-T2X : 11 February 2018) indicate that she was born in 1892. Additionally the 1905 Wisconsin State Census shows Candis at the age of 12 which would support the 1892 birth year.
