³ Beverly E. Linn, 87, of Rock Island, died Sunday, March 23, 2008, at her residence.

Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at South Park Presbyterian Church, Rock Island. A time for gathering will be 1 p.m. until service time at the church. Private family internment will be at a later date at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island, is handling arrangements.

Beverly was born July 23, 1920, in Rock Island, the daughter of William and Ethel Holquist Danielsen. She married Marvin Linn on May 3, 1943, in Rock Island. He died Oct. 29, 1989.

Beverly was a homemaker for most of her adult life and was a longtime member of South Park Presbyterian Church, Rock Island, where she served as a deacon, along with being very involved in the church over the years. She had served as an election judge for Rock Island County for many years, a member of R.O.A.L. She graduated from Rock Island High School in 1938 and had served on the reunion committee for many years. She loved taking pictures.

Beverly is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Kimberly Linn, Seviereville, Tenn.; grandchildren and their spouses, Douglas and Robyn Linn, Heather and Brian Ward; great-grandchildren, Katy, Cody, Shelby, Brianna, Emily and Zoe; several nieces, nephews and cousins, along with Aurora, her cat she so dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her parents.
