Madge E. Burns, 86, of Grantsville, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1993, at Saint Joseph's Hospital Parkersburg, after an extended illness.

She was born in Calhoun, a daughter of the late Scott and Lona Wilson Peninger. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are one son, Robert Burns of Fort Wayne, Indiana; one daughter, Colleen Duskey of Grantsville; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Burns, and one brother, Eugene B. Peninger. Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery.
