• Her obituary was published in the Mahoning Dispatch on 25 December 1914 in Mahoning County, OH.

Mrs. Sarah (Susanna) Bowman, one of the oldest residents of Ellsworth, died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. A. Allen, in Ellsworth, aged about 84 years. Deceased was the widow of C. C. Bowman, who died more than twenty years ago. Besides her daughter she leaves two sons. Ellie and John Bowman. Funeral services Thursday forenoon were held from the Allen home, Rev. M. G. Jerrow, pastor of the Presbyterian church, of which the deceased was long a member, being in charge. Interment was made in the Ellsworth cemetery.
