In the 1850 US Census in New Sharon, Franklin County, Maine, Edna was listed at the age of 9 along with 4 other siblings and another Edna at the age of 38 who was probably the mother. Also listed was a Rodney Ordway at age 60 who may have been the grandfather to the children. There are all living at the home of Joseph and Emily Hathern. The Ordways are all marked as paupers.

  Marriage Notes:

There is a tantalizing marriage record coming from Porter County, Indiana that shows a Levi Lightfoot marrying Edna Hathaway on 27 Jun 1867. There were several other Lightfoot relatives living in Porter County, Indiana at the time and one might be lead to believe that Levi Edward Lightfoot might have traveled to Porter County, Indiana to visit relatives and he ended up getting married there.

However, a close examination of all the documents show that the Levi in Porter County was most likely Levi B. Lightfoot who was born in 1840 in Ohio and that Levi and his parents had moved to Kosciusko County, Indiana. The bride's name was shown only as Edna Hathaway. It is known from census records that the name of that Levi's wife name was Hannah E. (unknown). Therefore, it may be possible that his bride's full name was Hannah Edna Hathaway but the records are unclear about that.
