Rachel seems to appear twice in the 1885 Iowa State Census. Unfortunately the census forms are not dated to indicate when the enumeration took place and all data was supposed to be as of 1 Jan 1885. One of those census records shows her living in Jefferson Township, Lee County, Iowa with her husband of about 5 years along with 3 children. There is yet another 1885 census in Fort Madison, Lee County, Iowa which shows her living at home with her parents using her maiden name and in which her marital status was marked as single. Her name on that census is poorly written and may sometimes be indexed merely as "Rohe* Drollinger".
