"Mrs. August Possin dies on Saturday
Pioneer Resident of County;
Funeral Wednesday Afternoon At Good Thunder"

Mrs. Augusta S. Possin of Good Thunder, one of the early pioneers of this, died Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock from the effects of a stroke of apoplexy. She had been in poor health for the past three years. Mrs. Possin was born in Dodge County, Wisconsin, February 25, 1858, and moved to Blue Earth, when she was but six years of age. She was united in marriage to the late Paul (sic) August Possin forty-nine years ago. He preceded her in death eight years ago. Mrs. Possin is survived by the following children: William, Ida, Albert, Charles, Edward, Otto, Frank and Mrs. Paul Petters of Good Thunder and Oscar Possin of Minneapolis.

The funeral will be held from the home in Good Thunder, Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 from Saint Johns Lutheran church at two PM The burial will take place at Lyra Memorial Park, Rev. Klammer will conduct the services.

In the obituary write up of Mrs. Augusta Possin last week we failed to mention that Rev. F. Rhinehardt of Amboy assisted Rev. A. C. Klammer of this place with the funeral services, the former preaching the English sermon. The special music was furnished by a quartette composed of Mr. and Mrs B. G. Luedtke, Miss Alma Darge and Paul A. Darge. One name was accidentally omitted from the card of thanks, Mr. And Mrs. Otto Possin.

The card of thanks is again published in its corrected form.

NOTE: The given name "Augusta" shows up as "Sophia" more often than as Augusta. There is a note on obit copy that there are no June 1927 papers available. Also, it appears that Mrs. Paul Petters may be Mrs. P. D. (Bertha) Sperra and that Ellen is missing from the obit. I think that she is Mrs. L. H. Peters from the online deaths for Minnesota.
